China sourcing / International buyers

How our China sourcing process works

A practical process with clear decisions and responsibilities at each stage.

Discuss your sourcing brief

1. Define the brief

Send drawings, quantities, reference images, destination, budget currency and required timing.

2. Compare suitable offers

Review proposed suppliers, materials, finishes, dimensions, quantities and exclusions.

3. Approve specifications and terms

Agree samples or drawings, commercial terms, payment milestones and service fees in writing.

4. Coordinate production and checks

Agree the inspection scope, reporting and resolution of outstanding issues before shipment.

5. Arrange shipping

Confirm packing, freight, insurance, import responsibilities and final delivery arrangements. Timing depends on your destination, product quantity, stock availability and production time, so we confirm it for each order.

What will be recorded before production?

Agree a product schedule with item references, quantities, specifications and approved drawing revisions. The quotation should identify service fees, payment milestones, exclusions and who approves changes. Samples and inspection reports should refer back to that schedule.

What happens if an inspection finds an issue?

Record the finding against the agreed specification. Confirm the proposed correction, any reinspection and who can authorize shipment. Agree this process in the order terms, including responsibility for additional costs.

How long will an international order take?

The schedule depends on drawing approval, samples, production, inspection, consolidation and the freight route. Ask for a project timeline with approval deadlines and an allowance for customs and final delivery. Timing is confirmed for the individual order.

When should samples and drawings be approved?

Approve the required samples and drawings before production begins. Record material, finish, dimensions and hardware decisions in the order, together with inspection checkpoints and responsibilities.
